Marketing is that elusive term that we artists look at with an evil eye. It's one of those business terms that we don't really understand, we don't want to deal with, and we definitely don't want to pay for. But, how else will people find out about our art? We need to attract audiences and build a patron base. To do so, we need to market ourselves and our art. And, it's easier than you think it is!
This course is designed to introduce you to some basic marketing techniques you can use to build (or keep!) your patron base. We will offer overviews about market research, segmentation, target messaging, positioning, and press strategies, all of which can help publicize your art or your arts organization.
